About me



Andrea Holtan has worked in the Import / Export field for over 25 years. She is a Licensed Customs Broker with an MBA from Seattle University. Andrea is the former Director of Import / Export Compliance at Costco Wholesale Corporation directing all Customs Compliance programs and audits for North America.

Andrea is now the President of Rafiki Trade Group specializing in Import / Export Compliance and Risk Management. Rafiki offers small to large companies assistance with compliance reviews and audits, in-house training, C-TPAT and security reviews, classification of product and a wide range of consulting tools to assist in overall trade compliance.

Rafiki Trade Group gets its name from the time Andrea spent in Africa teaching Business Ethics and Accounting at Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya. Rafiki means“friend”in Swahili and Rafiki Trade Group is a definite friend to those wanting informed compliance for their international trade business.

Andrea is a recognized expert in the areas of Imports and Exports and is a requested speaker throughout the US and Canada.
